DBR Recordings Turning Three = BIG JAM

The Toronto dance music scene has it goin’ on. We have so many artists, parties, partiers, promoters, record labels, talent AND posers…but the truth is….three years ago, OUR LIVES WERE SHITTIER compared to what they are today.

dbrFLYERWe didn’t know it then, but without DBR Recordings, our music scene was less funkier, less sexier, less bumpier and less sweatier. Deficiencies of such elements are known to cause Rigid Hipster Syndrome (RHS), which is a real thing.

Three years ago MC Flipside and Chris Vench came together to make a musical baby that has grown into a musical toddler.  Bringing bright stars and hidden gems together under one label, DBR has made quite a name for itself alongside it’s sister label PBR. With 45 releases on Beatport and many more people dancing to date, we laugh in the face of RHS.

Press “Play All” on their Beatport Top 10 Track List, and you will be boppin’ your head to beats that you have probably heard on packed dance floors before.  If you haven’t, the good news is you can hear these tracks, if not even better ones, at the DBR RECORDINGS 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY THIS SATURDAY FEB 22 AT THE RED DOOR LOFT!

Yes, that’s right, kids! MC Flipside, Chris Vench, Joee Cons, Jayforce and The NightOwls will be rockin’ the floor of the Red Door Loft…that delightful little pocket of warm vibrations and drink tickets.  What better place can you spend a Saturday night and Sunday morning? Don’t say bed, that’s lame.

One of my favourite DBR tracks is Jerome Robins remix of Plarama by Simon Gain and Joey Seminara. Turn it up.

Another is Get Loose by The NightOwls. Flipside dropped this at Hatiras’ album release jam and it was fuckin’ fire on that dance floor.

The lineup for this party is killer. I have put some serious sweaty hours on the dance floor at past parties because of these people…you may or may not have noticed this.

OK so to get into this party you need guest list. Please, email djmizmegs(at) so you can save money and know wheretf to go.

See you there, guys. This is going to be a salty one.
