Night Vision Vol. 8: Top Notch Toronto Talent This Friday

Night Vision Vol 8 this Friday features local talent but deserves the hype that Toronto gives parties with international headliners. With deep house heavy weight James Teej and other buzz-worthy beat makers and shakers on the bill, this party will not only make you move but also make you proud to be dancing in Toronto.

James Teej is a local but his electronic music resume is as impressive as his travel history, especially over the past year. One of the brilliant minds behind My Favorite Robot Records (MFR), Teej actively participates in the growth and development of Toronto’s emerging deep house/new disco/indie dance scene.  As a producer he has turned heads internationally. In 2010 Get Off the Phone was released on Rebirth Records (known as the best Italian house label) and features remixes by an international deep house icon (and half of the former Jacob London), Pezzner – this drew serious attention to Teej from the underground scene. Teej had a considerable career boost this year as a result of his collaborative efforts with Sasha on tracks such as Night Track. Just check out Teej’s beatport profile, it will make you dizzy.

Making musical footprints around the world, Teej has been rocking crowds all over South America this past summer and more recently threw it down at The Zoo Project Festival in the UK that was held in an actual Zoo. Distract TV interviewed Teej at the zoo rave for your viewing pleasure and Be At TV Captured his set. I could go on about James Teej forever, and between MFR and his happenings as a Dj and Producer his Facebook fan page warrants frequent visits by all you deep house lovers out there. Here’s a set of his on one of my favorite podcasts, Electronic Groove:

Expect to be shakin’ your booty to the sounds of Room 303 on Friday who has been appearing on flyers for parties all over the city (I notice these things when updating my Toronto Party Calendar) and while I haven’t had the pleasure of hearing him play in person, I certainly am looking forward to it. Room 303’s collaboration with Sean Roman, another deep house local of note, has produced You’re Not Alone which was released this year on Love Not Money, a UK  record label that has a sharp eye for worthwhile new artists around the world.  Practice your moves for Friday with this set from LA Underground Radio Show:

In addition to a special guest that is not disclosed in Friday’s released party details, Pasha, Cosmic JD and Chris Bosno will be dropping beats alongside James Teej and Room 303 on Fiction‘s sound system…. which will be intensified especially for Night Vision Vol. 8.  Wear your broken-in dancing shoes…this will be a rowdy night!
